so where the heck is the abong located...

...Sitio Maballiguen where?

Sitio Maballiguen is a small patch of land located between the towns of San Narciso and San Antonio in the Province of Zambales, Central Luzon Island in the Philippines. It is roughly 30 to 45 minutes drive north along the National Highway from Olongapo City and Subic Bay. Maballiguen is a 'purok' (small village?) of barangay Beddeng.

If you plug the coordinates North 14 Deg 58 Min 56.71 Sec and East 120 Deg 06 Min 07.77 Sec on Google Earth, you will wind up in Sitio Maballiguen, Barangay Beddeng, San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines. The google earth picture below on the yellow pushpin shows the location of the abong.

Drilling down on the pushpin further shows the neighborhood.

The general location of the Abong
Notice that the abong is located on some of the last remaining vegetation around the area and it is out of sight from the main road. It is this environment that makes the abong so appealing.

Maballiguen this is...
